Arboretum de Longjumeau

Longjumeau signed an urban ecology and quality of life charter with the Ministry of the Environment in February 1993.
One of the areas mentioned in the charter made direct reference to woodland environments and so the town decided to create the arboretum. The aim of this leafy park is to help the public better understand the lifecycle of the tree and inform them about the growth, maturity, decay and felling of trees.

In recent years, the town has revitalized the arboretum. The phytosanitary inventory, carried out in 2011 by an expert in ornamental arboriculture, noted its good health and fine-tuned its management.
