‘Les Primeurs de Massy’ was created in 1998 and is a festival devoted to first albums. The programme is well-known for its daring and risky choices. Held at Paul B – Massy’s popular music venue – the festival has become an unmissble event for the autumn and has even built up a reputation across France’s cultural scene as the platform for the discovery of budding new talent today. It is a chance to showcase promising talent and many an artist began their glittering career right here, and are now household names that are often in the spotlight of the media.
Asaf Avidan, Lilly Wood and the Prick, Ben l’Oncle Soul, Naïve New Beaters, Skip the Use, Caravan Palace, Moriarty, Stuck In The Sound, Beat Assailant, Jeanne Cherhal, Camille, Vincent Delerm, Alexis Hk, Patrice, La Grande Sophie, Sanseverino, Claire Diterzi, Dionysos and Tryo have all performed at this festival that gives spectators the chance every year to get a sneak preview of tomorrow’s big names.
